WHO WE ARE & WHAT WE DO

The members of Canton Friends for the Arts (formerly known as Canton Parents for Music) are committed to supporting the visual, musical and dramatic arts programs at Canton Public Schools. Our volunteer group of parents and community members raise funds and promote awareness of Canton Public School's calendar of visual art, musical and theater performances. We provide funding for artists-in-residence, guest artists, equipment, events and other enrichment activities for the instruction and performance of the arts to help make the Canton Public Schools K-12 programs unique and special.

We provide volunteer support for concerts at Canton Schools

We support fundraising efforts for special trips, like the CHS band/choir trip to Orlando every 3 years

We provide funds for artists-in-residence and guest performing artists for Canton Schools

We support students who want to perform their favorite music and original compositions

Massive success - over $3500 raised for CFA! Thank you to Brewery Legitimus, Axe Town DJs and every one of our generous donors!! We will do this again next in Fall 2025!!

Thanks to the generosity of our basket donations from the community and the hard work of CFA volunteers, we raised over $2200 at this event!

We are proud to announce that Brian Jones, CMS/CHS Choral Director, was named a National Finalist for The American Prize in Composition (shorter choral works, professional division) for his piece, "It May Be"! The American Prize is a national non-profit organization with competitions in the performing arts. You can learn more about this competition here www.theamericanprize.org.
